We painted this three-bedroom house on Tonsley Place in Wandsworth. The project scope involved painting and decorating the entrance, hallways, living room, kitchen, and three bedrooms.
The owner wanted to refresh their home and create a modern chic living space. Also, they were keen to pick paint colours that would accentuate the wealth of period features of the property, such as the intricate cornicing, spiral staircase, and high ceilings. Therefore, we suggested using a colour palette consisting of greys, blues, and neutrals to achieve the desired look.
We painted the entrance in ‘Hague Blue’ by Farrow & Ball, setting the tone for the striking interior decor. The entry hall leads directly to the bipartite living room painted in ‘Vardo’ and ‘Pink Ground’ by Farrow & Ball and completed with bespoke joinery and intricate cornicing, giving the room an eye-catching look and feel. The main bedroom is located on the first floor and features wallpapered walls wrapped in an elegant hand-pressed linocut block print design breaking up the interior and adding design focus to the house. The second floor has two additional large bedrooms, currently used as home offices and studio spaces – painted in neutral colours to compliment the rest of the interior. The resulting space is simply sensational.
