Our painters and decorators had the pleasure of painting the Halfway House pub in Earlsfield. The cosy pub is located just opposite Earlsfield Station on Garrett Lane.
When Halfway House contacted our team, they were keen to refresh the pub with some decorating work without completely refurbishing the space. After a few discussions with our team, we outlined a scope of painting and decorating works, including renovating various parts of the main seating area and a private dining room. In addition to painting, Halfway House wanted to hang wallpaper in multiple areas of the space to create a unique look.
After consulting with our expert team, they decided to choose ‘Card Room Green’ by Farrow & Ball as the paint colour for the project. In addition, they selected a floral wallpaper by William Morris as the wallcovering choice.
Since Halfway House was in operation as the work took place, we arranged for our team to complete the decorating works out-of-hours to ensure minimal disruption to the business.
Completing the painting works was relatively simple. Our painters and decorators carried out some minor repairs and preparation work to the surfaces that were getting decorated. We then undercoated and applied two coats of paint to all surfaces. The wallpapering work was a little more tricky due to the nature of wallpapering a ceiling instead of a wall. It involved making precise wallpaper cuts to fit the areas, priming the ceilings, and paying attention to detail with every strip of wallpaper we hung.
The project was a massive success, and our client was thrilled with the results!
