Eagle House is a Grade II* listed Jacobean manor house built in 1613, located in the centre of Wimbledon Village. We completed the interior re-decoration of this spacious property consisting of the open-plan kitchen, living room, hallways, bedrooms, and bathroom.
The homeowners wanted to create a bright and contemporary feel while retaining the original character and charm of the property, such as the decorative ceiling coverings. As a result, we proposed using a complementary colour palette comprising varying shades of neutral colours.
The decorated two-bedroom apartment’s interior is sympathetic to the building’s history, combining neutral tones and highly decorative strapwork ceilings. The interior flows seamlessly, with the neutral paint colours creating an effortless transition from one room to the next. The intricate ceiling mouldings and neutral palette are reminiscent of Jacobean design, making the apartment a welcoming, relaxing and stylish space.
