We had the delightful opportunity to transform the interior of a magnificent maisonette on Chepstow Road in Notting Hill. The property occupies the second and third floors of a handsome Grade II-listed townhouse and boasts abundant period features, including Italianate details and large sash windows.
We meticulously painted the entirety of the residence, including a reception and dining room, a bathroom, three bedrooms, and a bespoke kitchen.
The homeowners had recently moved in and approached our team with the goal to brighten the living areas and put their own stamp on the space. After speaking with our paint colour experts, they decided to use neutral colours in the main living areas and two bedrooms, Farrow and Ball‘s ‘Railings’ for the cabinetry, and ‘Eating Room Red’ for the feature wall in the guest bedroom.
We painted the walls of the open-plan reception and dining room in ‘Skimming Stone’ by Farrow & Ball giving the room a bright and airy feel. The main focus of downstairs though is the kitchen cabinets which add a burst of colour with the use of navy blue hues. Upstairs, two of the three bedrooms are painted in ‘Skimming Stone’ consistent with the downstairs colour palette, and giving the rooms an inviting look and feel. Meanwhile, the guest bedroom features a stunning feature wall painted in red which adds colour to the interior and helps to break up the space.
